Dang TCU. Way to make an entrance. Both the Frogs and #1 Baylor have the advantage of having high-scoring offenses in a defensively weak conference. But, unlike #43 California (especially last year), they also know how to capitalize on it. One could argue that #3 Marshall is highly ranked for the same reason.

However, conference play starts in earnest now. Baylor’s offense will probably keep them near the top, but close wins against tough opponents will start to drive other teams up the list, and cause others to drop (specifically Marshall; #6 CUSA’s SO is notoriously weak after the departure of East Carolina).
